Codes

Bio

Get to know NY based Codes, DJ/Producer, on Slow Roast Records. His ingenious sample manipulation has developed into a non-classifiable style all his own. Laced with big ass kick drums and a tight low end Codes keeps bodies moving in the club. Mainly a House and Hip Hop producer Codes is also known to dabble in other genres and tempos such as Moombahton and Trap. Whether it be the remix he did with A-Trak for disco legend Cerrone’s ”Misunderstanding“ or his own Cristal classic ”Guzzlin’ Champagne“ Codes knows how to keep the funk in dance music.

Captivating audiences across the world with his dancefloor control, Codes has played at massive events like HARD Summer, Valtifest in Amsterdam, and Camp Bisco, as well as legendary venues such as Pacha New York, Avalon Hollywood, Webster Hall, and The Wiltern LA. He has toured Down Under with Slow Roast label bossman, Craze, to give Australia a taste of what’s cooking’ in Codes’ kitchen. From that tour sprung a series of original collaborations between the Slow Roast duo ranging from their filthy instrumental ”Trapped in Sydney“ to some deep liquid house vibes like their latest release together, ”Deeper“.

Following up his first EP on Slow Roast Records entitled ”Codes’ House“, the anticipated “The Get Down” EP will be out this February. Keep an eye out for his new take on a couple choice Disco classics from Salsoul Records slated for a release later this year on Ultra and a slew of originals that will be up on his Soundcloud page for download.
